Charlie is a jazz basist, but his contribution to the Montreal jazz scene is much more: he's the owner of Biddles, a rib restaurant downtown that often has live jam sessions. He was also a pioneer of the Montreal Jazz Festival. He opened the first one 25 years ago, and he's always been a major supporter.
1. Where do you currently work?
At home. I'm a freelancer.
2. How many other jobs have you had and where?
Let's see... if I count a summer job each time, I've had 10 altogether.
3. What do you like best about your job?
I set my own hours and I don't have to worry about dress codes.

No regular paycheques.
5. What is your dream job?
Having a freelance writing gig become a full-time position.
